Ingredientes
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 vanilla beans, seeds scraped out
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Preparación
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Prepare:
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
Add the beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and scraped vanilla bean seeds to the butter-sugar mixture. Stir until everything is incorporated.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the mashed bananas and mix until smooth.
In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
If using, fold in the chopped nuts into the batter until evenly distributed.
Pour the butter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
Cook and Cool:
Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, carefully transfer the banana bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
